Samantha "Sam" Olson

Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor

Sam is an ACSM Certified Personal Trainer and Fitness Instructor with a BS in Kinesiology, and specialty certifications in pre/postnatal fitness, corrective exercise, Schwinn cycling instruction, and barre instruction.  She left a high school teaching career in pursuit of her passion and has been happily working, learning and growing in the wellness industry for over 6 years.

Sam is an advocate for all women to receive high quality fitness instruction.  Her clients appreciate her ability to break down complex material and exercises, and tailor her training program to meet their individual needs.  She believes that your health is a priority always, daily movement should be joyful and pain free, and a regular fitness routine should continually challenge and support one's physical, mental, and emotional well-being.  If you are ready to embark on a fitness journey, heal from an injury, alleviate minor aches and pains, or take your current routine to the next level, Sam is prepared to provide a thoughtful, custom training program.

Why I'm passionate about
women's fitness

Vitality icon white.png

Sam lives in Elmhurst with her husband and two young sons.  Her experience working in a variety of fitness settings plus her own journey through pregnancy, labor, and delivery sparked her drive toward bettering women’s health.  Sam realized there is a gap that exists in the fitness world for women.  She found that the intricacies of a woman's body and the changes she undergoes over the course of her life from puberty to child bearing age to perimenopause and menopause are neglected when it comes to women's health and fitness.  Sam earned a number of specialty certifications and developed a training program that is rooted in proper alignment, breathing, and functional exercises.  She loves working with women of any stage of life and watching their face light up as they take their first deep breath in years or perform an exercise correctly for the first time in their life.  Sam is passionate about changing a woman's relationship with fitness and how she cares for and moves her body.

"Sam is a phenomenal personal trainer and has made such a difference in my life. The programs that she puts together are 100% tailored to you and what your goals are. In working with Sam, I've not only increased my range of motion and strength, but I've learned how to breathe and move appropriately for my body. Sam has also taken my PT journey into account with our training and helped me focus on movement that is healthy and good for my pelvic floor issues. She knows how to challenge me in the best ways and is a pillar of support when I need it, too. She inherently understands how to train you based on your body's needs. No other trainer I've ever worked with in the past could even come close to Sam. She has made me so confident in working out, stretching and everything in between."
